100 days and sorta counting

I have a little ticker thing on my igoogle page that shows up every time I open my browser, and yesterday it informed me I had 101 days until my baby pops out (in a hypothetical world where babbies pop out on their expected day) so I decided to put a ticker on the blog and tell you all my baby is coming in about 100 days. That way you can keep track because I know you were just trying to figure out how many days I had left. That still seems like a long way off, and I already feel like I could not get much bigger, but as it turns out I will continue to grow like it or not.

Oreos

I have been eating pretty healthy. And when I say that I mean I love oreos. I would like to give credit where credit is due, but I cannot remember whose family introduced me to eating oreos and milk with a fork. That’s right, you stick a fork into the heavenly double stuffed center and into the milk it goes, thus allowing you maximum dipping with minimum loss of cookie. Go ahead and mock, but I think if you try it you will be hooked.

Thank You?

me: “hello”

dad: “hi, i have to cancel lunch today because i have to set up a watering system for the concrete. really, i’m doing you a favor.”

me: “how is that?”

dad: “because now it will be easy for you to go out and water the concrete, just flip a switch.”

me: “um, i think i only signed up to watch the dog”

dad: “you will be happy someday when i am dead and you sell the house that doesn’t have broken concrete in it”

me: “so i get no lunch today and have to water the concrete?”

dad: “right, and you will be so happy in the future”

me: “i can hardly wait.”

24 weeks and some days

Or now I’m saying 5 1/2 months if that’s the way you roll.

Thanks to the moving countertop island thing for being a good tripod, because the two I own were too hard to find. Also this skirt is quite possibly the most comfortable piece of clothing I have ever owned. Like sweats, but more classy.

I had to go to the post office anyway…

I may have had a Britney moment, but not a pregnancy/new mom haircut moment. I have been meaning to cut & donate my hair for a while. I kept saying I was going to get a trim, grow it a bit more and then cut it. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

That’s a bit over 12″, and my good sewing scissors.

Here’s me and my twin. See, we didn’t cut off too much.

It’s not really this uneven, and it still goes into a ponytail. Good work self.

addendum to spoiler below

As you can see, Aaron loves to model (even if he says he doesn’t like the gathering on this apron). Someone who guessed right is getting this apron. If you read the last spoiler post I’ll bet you can guess who.

Spoiler Alert!

If you guessed my baby’s gender right, and you want to be surprised, close your eyes right now. Today one of these fine things were mailed to you, depending on who you are. Unless you are Jenna, then yours is still being created.

These are crayon rolls, real handy for not losing crayons.

This is a wrist pin cushion for those who like sewing.

This beauty is a rug made from plastic bags, made for my earth friendly friend.

Found!

The missing drivers license has been found. Which is not really useful since Aaron got another one. But I am infinity happy because this picture has now been saved for posterity. And for you.

I personally like the pen behind the ear, and dark shadow behind the other.

Swimming at last!

Today is June 20th. I finally got in the lake today. This is probably the latest I have ever got in the lake. It was a bit chilly at first, but it was so hot outside that it was good. I was quite happy, and hope that tomorrow’s weather forecast holds true so I can do it again.

In other news, here is a letter to my neighbor, or anyone this is true for:

Dear neighbor a couple houses down,

I hope you don’t find this letter judgmental, but really it is NOT ok for you to drink your beers (yes plural, I see you with both one in hand and the one your son is bringing you) while driving three young boys tubing behind your boat. If this were a car, you would be arrested. I don’t really see any difference. If I was your wife or parents of one of the children (I think one isn’t yours) I would beat the living daylights out of you. It doesn’t matter to me that everyone else does it, that doesn’t make it ok. Maybe you don’t watch the news, but if you did you would know about the stories of all the boating accidents and deaths because people were drinking. You are now safely on your dock, but my husband is out there swimming, as well as other well meaning people enjoying the water that have no desire for death or disfigurement, so please, for all of us (ESPECIALLY YOUR OWN CHILDREN) KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!!!

With much rage,
Kelsey

P.S. I’m not saying that you are drunk, or even seem to be. I’m just saying don’t be an idiot. Because we all know if I thought you were out of control I would have been on your dock yelling at you before you even left. And then calling CPS. And then reminding you how your stupid little dog pooped on our lawn this week. But that would just be a side note, the dog pooping.

Aaron just interrupted my blogging yelling from outside. The eagles are fighting again, Aaron says he saw 7, by the time I got out I saw 4 bald eagles and 1 brown/golden eagle. And they are swooping the water, kinda near Aaron. I think they want him for dinner. I won’t write them a letter, because we all know eagles can’t read.

Hey, did I mention swimming today? It was awesome. You should come over and swim with me tomorrow.

Drumroll Please…

Or not, since only 5 of you are interested in this post, I will have you know that the winner of the bright blanket is….

Kamewh!!! Yay for you!

So, Kamewh, please email me your address at: kelseyfox @ hotmail.com so I can send you off your new blanket. To those of you who didn’t win, I kinda really enjoyed having a (small) contest, so surely there will be some more in the future. What can I say, I love raffles and bingo, this seems to be a good outlet for that.
