Cuatro & 1/2 Puerqueños

3 years ago today I was delighted to announce the fact that I was pregnant.  Of course no one believed it because I also had a barely 5 month old at the time.  Turns out it was true.  If I would have followed along the same schedule, having babies every 13 1/2 months then by now I would be ready to give birth to child #4 any day now.  Luckily I am still (partially) sane and didn’t go that route.  If you did, you are a champion.

Today I am however happy to announce that I am growing a third child in my belly.  It is a very strong baby who thinks it is fun to take all of my energy and make me sick 23 hours a day.  The remaining hour is obviously spread out in several 5 minute increments which I relish.  However both previous babies made me ill and I still liked them a lot when they came out, so it seems as that won’t really be an issue in several months.  In case you were wondering, this baby is set to make it’s appearance at the very end of November.  Everyone in the house is very excited.  Harmon says it’s a boy and a girl (twins, thanks!) and Sammy says a girl.  Harmon has so far suggested the following names: Flower Weed, Lightie, and Bengee the dog.  Strangely enough, none of these names are currently being considered.

This sounds convincing, but I’ll have to wait until tomorrow so I know for sure! :)

I was just going to check your facebook to see if you posted anything and then I found this blog. Congrats!! I am guessing girl. They say the siblings are right most of the time and Kenya was insistent that Jasmin was a girl. Hope you get to feeling a little better.

Name it Sherlien if it is a girl, Ross if it is a boy. clearly. Beat Nicole to those names.

YAY! I like Flower Weed personally. Hope you start to feel better!

Better than one my boy’s suggestions of toilet-bowl-head when he was that age and a baby was on the way. Basically whatever he looked at was suggested as a name. My sister’s favorite suggestion of his was “Isaiahka Honk.” Isaiahka was the only suggestion he ever made that could be remotely pretended to be a real name. :) Hope you feel better soon.

I’m definitely leaning toward Flower Weed — people will think you’re a celebrity whenever you fill out those school forms. How horrible that you’re still so sick — are those microwave sugar cookies doing anything for you? At least your mental health, if not your physical.

I totally resented each of my kids for about a day after they were born for making my life so crappy for nine (TEN) months.

Woo hoo. I want to hear about those “hints” to your Mom and Dad you were talking about. Did they guess quickly? (I had to tell Uncle Dave, but he kept your secret.) Sorry you are suck. Ugh, do I remember those days. Hey, have you ever tried coke syrup? I used to get it from the pharmacist. It was dirt cheep and helped with nausea. Also, sometimes stirring the fizz out of a coke and sipping it gave some relief. Placebo perhaps? Also… nibbling on a saltine before raising my head up in the morning — just getting the tiniest thing in my tummy in increments helped too. NOT being pregnant helps — too late for that. Haaaa! Congrats sweetie.
