When I’m 64…

Marrying an older man has it’s drawbacks.  For example the fact that Aaron is 7 years older than me means that he will likely die first.  This of course is unacceptable, and so early on I made it clear I was going to be the one to die first and he was to comply.  He would always grumble about having to live until 107, but in the end would agree to it.  Last night laying in bed I mentioned something about how many years he had left to live at which point he confessed: “You know, when you get alzheimer’s I’m going to trick you and die first.”  Touche.

Join me in my “wives who go first” diet. It’s easy and fun. All your favorite foods are on it and you don’t have to exercise. Ever.

My dad was 6 years older than my mom and she died first. He used to grumble about it but now he has a girlfriend. He will be 92 this month, 22nd.

I’m going to outlive Travis and I think I’ll be fine with it after the first few years or so. I have to be; his family has terrible heart problems and mine refuses to die even when they’re 91 and they have gangrene and advanced vascular disease and dementia. I have lots to look forward to. :)
