Un-Nesting

I’m not sure if you can really un-nest, but if you can, I probably am. Although I am physically ready for the baby to come out (and seem to be mostly prepared around the house as well) there are a handful of things that I should/want to do but haven’t. And not because I haven’t had the time, just because perhaps I am avoiding them thinking if I don’t do them the baby won’t come yet? I know, that’s pretty silly. Also it’s 11:30 and Aaron is asleep and I am not because I thought a short blog on un-nesting was much more important. This is further proof I am losing my mind.

You are not losing your mind. The enormity of becoming a mother is just kicking in. Mine hit me on the way out of the hospital, while holding Michael. I had no idea what I was doing, and if anyone was losing her mind — it was me.

YOU, on the other hand, are amazingly prepared, so this moment of perhaps feeling inadequate will pass when you see the baby’s face, little fingers and toes. I predict most of your fears will fade away. You three will be an eternal family. I can’t think of anything better.

You are not losing your mind – a short blog on un-nesting was indeed more important, in my opinion.

remember when we attempted to sew skirts for preference, and you resorted to duct tape and staples? and now you sew for real, and you are really good at it? how did that happen?
