No Wedding Saturday Within the Month of June

I think I should start this post with a slightly embarrassing fact about Aaron. When we got engaged on Cinco de Mayo, we decided June we be a really great month to get married in, because we had been dating for almost two years, and didn’t need to be engaged for one million months. Soon it was revealed by Aaron that he really wanted to get married in June because of the song “I Just Called to Say I Love You”, namely the above phrase. I’m not sure if it is sappy or funny, or both, but I just remembered it and thought I would share.

Anyway, today is our anniversary, which we have been celebrating since this weekend. Saturday we had an awesome party at Luther Burbank Park (where we had our reception last year) and it was totally sunny. (P.S. If you live nearby and I didn’t invite you, it’s only because I forgot. Seriously, my lame forgetfulness level is so high, I keep thinking of people I meant to invite. Sheesh, and sorry!) We had a good time with Aaron’s tasty BBQing skills, namely ribs. We had a great turnout, and it was fun to see so many friends that we have yet to meet up with since we’ve been back. I think there are few things we like more than a good BBQ and swimming. Even if it’s too cold in the water to swim, that didn’t stop Aaron, nor all of my siblings. Even the ones who didn’t bring their swimsuits.

I’m probably rambling too long already, but I just wanted to proclaim to the blog world how much I love Aaron, and how amazing and wonderful he is. He is so fun, kind, caring, patient, thoughtful, and did i mention patient? I have loved being married to him this year, who else would move with me back to Ecuador, and now miss it more than I do? I look forward to many more years with this wonderful guy. :)

P.S. Props and Happy Birthday to Esther for having a birthday on such an awesome day.

It was so good to see you guys again. Sam and I had fun, for what time we could stay. Call me so we can get together sometime in the hopefully not-too-distant future.

Happy anniversary (and many, many more–wait till you hit 15 years like us…man, that’s a mindbender).

Happy Anniversary! I still tell people about your awesome wedding. In fact, I think I still have your best announcement ever on my refrigerator which is amazing considering how my kids mess with everything I own.
