Day Zero

So, it’s only 830am, but I just wanted to let you all know that today is my midwife assigned due date, the one that has been on the countdown on here, and there are no babies yet. Not even one. Luckily I’m only expecting one, but you know. Last Sunday Aaron and I were sure that he was coming Monday or Tuesday. By Friday I spent most of the day in bed watching tv moping that my baby had not arrived. (He missed my day, 10-9-08, rude!) Now it is Sunday again and I am convinced he is never coming out. Just thought I should keep anyone still keeping track posted. And if your day has passed, just watned to say thanks for the happy thoughts, even though we were all wrong. I’ll let you know when this child comes out. I promise. The end.

Believing he’s not coming out is a good sign! That’s the kind of thought that happens right before labor!

    😀

Because you are a little down that the baby has not made his “tah-dah” moment… I am changing my guess.

I think it would be cool to say, “Harmon was born on Columbus Day.” So, tomorrow is the day.

Maybe today will be the day… your water could break right in the middle of RS. That would be exciting! When I was pregnant I liked to think about the panic that would follow if that happened. 😉

    Kelsey,
I hope the wait is not to long. Good luck,

duh, it’s the 16th. the most fun thing to do is go out in public as much as possible post-due date. people love this game:

them: when is your baby due?
you: three days ago (or last week, or two weeks ago or whatever gets the most shock)

i got the best reaction at prenatal yoga. i was the most pregnant person there. not often you get to be the most of anything.

oh kelsey! I know this feeling all too well!!
nothing anyone says will make things better right now and you will hear a lot of really dumb people ask…”you haven’t had that baby yet??!!”
and you will just look at them and think…do they really think that I am this fat in real life??
and then you will get a lot of advice on what to do to get him out…well…again from my experience nothing works…maybe for you, but not for me.
you just have to smile and make them think that they are making everything better! (in reality nothing will make things better until you know that he is coming right then!
Good luck! You are in my thoughts!

I haven’t been to your blog in a while and I just remembered that your baby was due already, so I came hoping to see some cute pics, but there’s nothing! :) Oh well… I will check back soon. Good luck!
p.s. no offense taken to your dislike of cosmo. i’m not such a big fan either. i don’t like people in costumes when you can’t see their faces (especially clowns!)… kinda freaky!!!
