I think I have mentioned before that I have a hard time going to bed. Not just the falling asleep part, but the actually making myself go into my bedroom and get in my actual bed part too. Most nights I will set a target bedtime for myself and without fail I will stay up much later than it. Even if the target bedtime was 2am I am pretty sure 3am would roll around and I would have to use every ounce of willpower to go to bed.
This week has been especially poor for sleep due to a number of factors most of them small human related, and last night Aaron looked at his excessively sleep deprived wife sitting on the floor in a stupor feeding her internet addiction and said “do I need to carry you to bed?”
Obviously I replied “maybe, but I need some m&ms first. And some water.” He got up off the couch where normal people sit and went to the kitchen while I went to the laundry room to switch the laundry, stop one on the long path to bed. I came down to the hallway to think about stop two when I saw something on the floor. A trail of m&ms! I was so tired that after I got down to the floor to get the first one, I crawled down the hall to get the rest. I ended at my bedroom door finding a glass of water. And then I went to bed. What can I say, the man is a genius.
P.S. I would have taken you a picture, but obviously I ate all the m&ms and couldn’t be bothered to get the camera, as you might recall I was crawling down the hall in a sleep-deprived stupor.
That is awesome
Hahahahahaha!!!!!! That’s awesome.
That is such a cute idea!
What a loving husband to trick you like that. I wish mine would do that. He just turns the lights out on me and hopes that the lonely darkness will scare me into bed. Darn computers, they are so addictive.
