Aaron made rice crispy treats. Sammy was singing “rice crispy treats, rice crispy treats!” Then she came over to Allison and said in a very deep and quiet voice: “you’re going to drink some!!!” Both kids think it’s super awesome that I can turn anything I eat into milk for Allison. Including rice crispy treats apparently.

Last week I went to a baby shower. I got real fancy and put on a sweater with my maternity jeans I am still rocking (and will be rocking for the next decade, but whatever.) When I got home Harmon woke up from a nap and found me in the kitchen and declared that I needed to change out of my sweater. I told him I was fine and wasn’t going to change. He kept on insisting, bringing me different shirts from my closet and telling me I needed to change. This was very odd behavior and finally I asked Harmon if he didn’t like that I looked too fancy (I mean all I have been wearing is sweats for the past forever months.) He sulkily said no, but then declared “you just look too beautiful!!! I don’t want you to look so beautiful!” I inquired whether or not putting on another shirt would make me look ugly, and he assured me that it would make me look “just a little bit beautiful”. Much to his disappointment I decided to remain too beautiful for the rest of the day.

Sammy: (Holding an apple slice eaten down to the peel) Look Harmon it’s a crane!
Harmon: Oh, it’s broken! Did it get knocked down by the big sugarcane?

(Kelsey making 7-layer dip and putting the olives on top)
Harmon: We are going to call that Olive Garden, because there are olives, and the cheese looks like a garden.

Sammy: (Angry at Aaron for brushing her teeth, rubbing her fingers all over the inside of her mouth) I am putting the germs back on!!!

Last week I found myself having this conversation with Harmon:

Harmon: Harmon needs celery!
Me: No celery until you finish your Cap’n Crunch!
Harmon: Yeah.
Aaron: Daddy thinks you want bologna.
Me: I think so too.
Harmon: Yeah.

And then I overheard this while Aaron was putting Harmon to bed (often a 45 min process):
Harmon: Harmon needs that blanket!
Aaron: No, we’re sharing.
Harmon: Harmon needs that pillow!
Aaron: You already have two, this one is mine.
Harmon: Harmon needs that blanket!
Aaron: No, we’re sharing!!
Harmon: Harmon needs help.
Aaron: You need me to help you take the blanket away from me?
Harmon: Yeah.

If you are sad because I don’t blog anymore (I know you are) it’s mostly because I haven’t uploaded the important photos that go with my posts. That’s because my computer is broken and I have been holding out hope it will magically fix itself so I can put more pictures on it. But it’s not getting better, so I will soon be putting them on another computer and resume blogging. All three of you will be happy.
